Tabby Lynn

In Loving Memory

She left us on September 12, 2013 with the compassionate help of Dr. Stuart Dalton at the White Bear Animal Hospital. She showed signs of a major illness over Labor Day weekend and was taken to the Animal Emergency Center where she was treated with respect and excellent care. Dr. Steven Shadwick helped regain some of her Tabbiness and gave us good information and advice. Thanks to all the fine staff at AECMN. From September 3 to12 Tabby had a good time: checking out the chipmunks and the tiny butterflies, jumping at a grasshopper, rolling in the dirt and on the sidewalk, sleeping in the linen closet, her safe closet place, on the rocking chair, and in her “condo,” and her favorite places on blankies on the couch and the bed. She ate some freshly picked catnip (rolled too), ate some great low fat food/rejected the pills, slept by Char in the early morning, was Kitty in the window for Gene as he came home, scratched on several posts with vigor. On her last morning, she was allowed to eat as much grass and crabgrass seeds as she wanted, eat all the crunchy food she wanted, go nose to nose with a chipmunk in the woodpile, get a bunch of hugs. As her Wabasha family, the Engs put it, she was a Good Girl. We will miss her. – Char and Gene
