Beware of Easter Lilies!

Please be advised that Easter Lilies are potentially deadly to cats. All parts of the plant are considered toxic. Cats can suffer kidney damage by eating a small portion of any part of an Easter Lily. Even lily pollen or the water from an Easter Lily vase can be poisonous!

Symptoms to look for include vomiting, loss of appetite and depression.

If your cat exhibits any of these symptoms or if you suspect that your cat has ingested any part of an Easter Lily, seek veterinary care immediately. With prompt treatment, full recovery is possible.

Due to risk, cat owners are advised to avoid placing lilies where cats reside.
