We have been going to White Bear Animal Hospital since we got our first dog. 8 years later and we have another dog. We couldn’t ask for a better group of people to help us care for them. Even in the scary times, we’ve found comfort there!

I usually have to come in with my dog and 14 month old. I have a bigger dog and energetic kid which is difficult and they always get me in quick and are helpful throughout the visit. They make it so much easier on me!

I started bringing Schatzy to your clinic about two years ago, and have had good experiences each time we come. He is troubled with constant allergies. Dr. Stark has been doing her best to keep in top of the problem. We come often!

My dad passed away from cancer and he blessed me with the love of his life, his dog Rocky! I wanted to make sure I took good of care of her as he did so I brought her to the same vet I knew if he brought her there they must be amazing! And they are!!

20-year old Proton (cat) has lived in several states and experienced different vets. When realizing that Proton needed more attention than just the annual exams and shots from his former Minneapolis vet, I called several vet offices closer to White Bear Ave / County Road E to learn a little more about each practice, before choosing his next vet. I was pleasantly surprised when the office closest to my house also happened to be the one whose office staff responded the most knowledgeably and completely to my questions. Dr. Dalton’s natural curiosity, ability to consider many details simultaneously when thoroughly answering a question, concern for ethics, and sense of humor are exactly what I need in a vet. Without question, Proton’s younger feline sisters now are patients of Dr. Dalton, too.

The staff at White Bear Animal Hospital are always very friendly and helpful. I’ve brought my dog in who had a few odd ailments and behaviors and they came up with some very good and creative solutions. They also follow up every time after this type of visit to make sure my dog is doing better!

We have a new Golden Retriever pup and have been very happy with the staff and care she has received from Dr. Dalton at White near Animal Hospital. All the staff are kind, friendly and seem to have a sincere interest in each pet. Dr. Dalton and the other Vets explain and educate us well on each visit and seem very knowledgeable and honest. The staff at White Bear Animal Hospital are very caring and knowledgeable. They also have been able to give me very practical advice about my pet care. My dog had benign tumors last year the doctor went above and beyond the call of duty. After removing the tumors my dear sweet dog had trouble healing, the doctor took her home with her over the weekend to monitor her bleeding and care. I was very impressed and felt that the staff cares very much for the pets they care for. I would recommend them to anyone.

I would just like to say that in my 15 years of owning pets and dealing with Veterinarians, White Bear Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Stark are AMAZING! You guys have been there for me when I thought nothing could be done. You have helped my dog and cats with every issue big or small. Helped with the strays I have brought in. The care at White Bear Animal Hospital is fabulous! We have adopted two dogs from the Humane Society and the care received has been second to none. Our first dog, Duke passed away in September 2010, and the support and care by the staff was wonderful. They were very sympathetic to our needs and gave us as much time as we needed. They have been wonderful with Beau as well. Gentle and caring. I especially like Dr. Gwen Zupancich and Dr. Sidra Stark. I highly recommend this clinic. The staff is the best!

I appreciate the care given by the staff at WBAH and only trust them with my dog. Getting an appointment is always convenient and the prices are comparative. I’ve been to other vets with friends and their pets, but I’ve never been interested in changing clinics because I know this clinic is the one for us.

I only have one word for the White Bear Animal Hospital, OUTSTANDING. We tried other veterinarians in the area only to find that they were not as personable and knowledgeable as the staff at WBAH. The others also charged more for the same care and were continually trying to upgrade their service by offering additional services that were not needed. My wife and I totally trust our pets care to the WBAH. In the past year my son and his wife changed vets and moved the care of their pet to the WBAH, even though it was nineteen miles further away. Thank you WBAH for your professionalism.

I have taken my dogs to WBAH for 2 years now. Dr. Sidra Stark has been one of the best vets that I have gone to. I have a golden retriever with a very tricky medical issue called megaesophagus and she has been there for me every step of the way. She has done research on her own time about new treatments, taken the time to listen to all of the things I read on the web and give her input on what may or may not help. She always treats me with respect and I feel like she is a friend after all of the visits. She has been someone that always listens to both concerns about cost and will do everything she can within your limitations. I recently had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my Labrador and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to help her to the other side. She was also a great comfort to me at the time. Dr. Stark and the staff at WBAH always know my name when I walk in the door and I would highly recommend this clinic.

We have been bringing our dogs to WBAH for 18 years now. All of our dogs have had the best care possible there …including problems from skin and ear infections to cancer. Both my husband and I like the thorough job the doctors do not only when the animals are ill but even when it’s just a check up or for shots. The staff is always caring for both the animals and their owners. I’ll never forget the kindness and sincere words and comfort when we’ve had to euthanize our dogs. We have taken our dog Zena to White Bear Lake Animal Hospital since she was born. They are always very thorough and we never have to wait, if we had an appointment. They do follow-up calls, if there’s been a problem. Some times several follow-up calls. We recommend them to everybody we know.

I got my cat Monte from a rescue shelter in 10/2008 and he ended up having multiple medical ailments that needed to be treated. The staff at the White Bear Animal Hospital was extremely thorough with their care and treatment for my cat, which was greatly appreciated by me as a new cat owner. Over the past few years I have continued to take my cat here and have never been disappointed. When I come prepared with a list of seemingly random and possibly silly questions about my cats health they always take the time to methodically answer each question and treat me and my cat with respect. Although there have been some changes in the last few years, we still believe that the doctors and staff at this clinic are the best at taking care of our cats. We originally visited WBAH through a referral from an instructor at Twin Cities Obedience Training Center. Our regular clinic (located convenient to our s. mpls home) had recommended exploratory surgery for a lump on our dog’s chest. We were told, “If it was my dog, I would have this surgery done.” Knowing that any surgery is a risk, we decided to get a second opinion and we’re so glad we did! Our vet at WBAH reassured us that no surgery was necessary and that the lump was benign. Weeks later, the bump disappeared. While WBAH isn’t convenient for us, we’re willing to make the drive to receive excellent care. We value the information we receive during visits, the fees are reasonable and we trust the vets at WBAH. We would recommend WBAH to any pet owner!

I have been taking my cats Tinker and Cleo to WBAH for 11 years and could not be happier with the care and attention I get from all of the staff at the hospital. I just took my Buddy (a 10 year old Shih Tsu) to WBAH today. They fit me in for a last minute appointment regarding a limp he has developed over the past week. Dr. Zupancich was so good with him and even though he was in dire need of a grooming, she was very understanding and not judgemental about his condition. She suggested the most helpful approach to his pain and did not push a more expensive or more aggressive treatment. I am very happy to have found WBAH 🙂

I am the happiest person because I have Dr. Dalton as my Vet. All the staff at this Hospital is the very best I have ever seen anywhere. They treat my pets just like they were the owners of them. They care more than any place I have ever seen. I have lived all over this country and had many pets in my lifetime. They wrote a letter to my family when we lost a cat and when we lost a dog. WBAH is great! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Stark is a great vet! She takes great care of our Puggles. She is very patient and great with the dogs and always willing to spend time answering questions. This summer Wrigley suffered a shoulder injury and she researched the injury and consulted with a surgeon to recommend the best treatment plan. White Bear Animal Hospital recently won the 2012-13 Better Business Bureau Integrity Award, and in my opinion, they DESERVE it! Dr. Dalton and team have provided excellent care of our dachshunds Tucker and Frodo. They were patient and helpful as I nursed our elderly Tucker into his final years, giving me the information and options I needed to decide whether to continue care or say goodbye. When I understood the time had finally come to euthanize my treasured friend, they were so kind and understanding — I felt as if they shared my grief. Later, they helped us welcome a new puppy, Frodo, into the family, and even though he’s quite nervous when visiting them, I always feel comfortable and secure knowing they are the ones taking care of his health needs! White Bear Animal Hospital Employees care for more than just the animals that come in they also care for the owners that bring them. They truly understand how our pets are a part of our family. I had brought my kitten there when after she had suffered a head injury and all the employees were amazing throughout the entire process of her care. My kitten did not make it despite every effort of the clinic staff. A short time after this incident the clinic sent a memorial in my kitten’s honor and sent me a card as well. I have been so pleased with White Bear Animal Hospital that I have bringing my pets there ever since and that was 10 years ago. They currently provide care for my 13 year old cat and my 1.5 rescue dog.

I recently moved to the area and searched for pet care around the area. After reviewing a couple of options online, I decided to go with White Bear Animal Hospital. This was the first time in 7 years I changed animal care providers ever since hes been going as a puppy. After my first consultation with the doctor, I immediately knew I was aligned with his method and direction for treatment more than my previous vet. Great staff. Friendly, helpful, understanding and genuinely caring. I feel the staff and Doctors really care about the well being of my pets and my concerns and feelings as a pet owner. I recently had a vet appointment with Dr. Stark for my dog La La. The level of care we received from her was excellent. The staff were all very welcoming and Dr. Stark was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and even gave me additional info and articles for me to read to gain more information for my dogs condition. We came to see you twice now, and both times we were treated with respect and much kindness. Our Auntie Laura knows us, so she was able to let the vet know that Shadow hisses but he is just trying to protect his sister, Penny and his mommy, Chris Noland. Penny said although she wasn’t feeling well and was showing signs of ‘heat’ even though she had the surgery to prevent it, the Dr. was very very nice and gave us some good tips. Luckily, she hasn’t had any symptoms after that visit. They say they will definitely make this their number 1 place to go, even if they have to have shots.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They take every step to make sure you are informed about the condition of your pet. They are empathetic when you need to make the end of life decisions as well.

My husband and I brought our cat Gracie into your facility due to bladder stones. We were very happy with the service you provided and were incredibly impressed with the amount of time your staff spent with us, ensuring that we understood everything. I want to start out saying that I was upset about the change in ownership at the clinic and considered driving much further to stay with the doctor we were used to. But I decided to try the new clinic out. I was hooked. I took my dogs in, Jocko and Jake, for their yearly heartworm check. I was very surprised to get a call at home regarding the results, probably because it wasn’t especially good news. The doctor took the time to talk to me about all the options and treatments and that alone made me realize that we had quality doctors there at WBAH. I’ve had the boys in for other things since then and have always been very pleased. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful, the doctors don’t make you feel “rushed”. I’ve only had my cat Ace for a year, but the times I’ve brought Ace to the Hospital, the doctors and staff have been very friendly, and informative with any questions I ask. I cannot say enough wonderful things about White Bear Animal Hospital! I have only been taking my cats there for 1 1/2 years but I am very impressed with the service. Dr. Sidra Stark left her previous veterinarian employment to join White Bear Animal Hospital. Dr. Stark has been my vet for several years and I could not ask for a more competent, caring and educated person keeping my cats in their best health. So when she joined White Bear Animal Hospital, I followed – even though the distance went from a three-minute drive to a 25-minute drive. A huge plus with White Bear Animal Hospital is that many of the tests and blood work that occasionally need to be done are done on site. There is no 24-48 hour wait to receive my cat’s results. This is a great comfort to me, especially when the tests are for health problems! The facility is very clean, appointments are easy to get, and the staff is professional and very helpful with any questions I have. I would recommend White Bear Animal Hospital to anyone who wants the very best care for their pet!

Just a little note to mention how impressed we were with Dr. Stark. We brought our new shelter cat, Big Boy, he weighs 16.5 lbs, in for his initial checkup on Monday. Dr. Stark was so patient and informative with our myriad questions. She also gave us some great suggestions and we’re glad to say that they are all working. We have been coming to this facility since 1982 with our dogs and cats. The new ‘regime’ seamlessly gives the same great care to animals and their owners as well. ND and

This past week our dog became very ill as we were getting up for the day. I contacted our regular clinic and they were unable and unwilling to see our dog. I called the White Bear Vet Clinic at 8:00 am and even though we were not current clients, and even though they had no open appointment times, they told me to bring our pet in immediately. I was there by 8:30 am and we were brought directly into an exam room and the vet was in minutes later. Sadly, our dog did not survive the day, but the care, communication and compassion we received by all the staff of the White Bear Clinic was excellent.
